Due to interest in the STAIR4SECURITY project, we have extended Day 2 of the event and look forward to welcoming our speakers, the CERIS team and attendees. STAIR4SECURITY commenced in January 2019 and has been designed to primarily develop an expert platform, supported by an elearning tool, setting in train a governance mechanism for the coordination of research related standardisation activities across the disaster risk resilence domain. The Community of Users on Secure, Safe and Resilient Societies (CoU) gathered actors involved in various security sectors, in particular policy-makers, scientists, practitioners (e.g. first responders), SME/industry and representatives of the civil society. With the eve of Horizon Europe, the new EU framework for research and innovation, the CoU is enlarging its mission to proactively gather research outputs and communicate them from international to local levels, and receive feedback that will be essential for future research working programming. This CoU hence becomes CERIS standing for Community of European Research and Innovation for Security.
